Oyama Bryan is a commercial and fine art photographer specializing in
landscape and architectural photography in the Chicagoland area. Her interest in nature
and photography began over 25 years ago when she and her husband traveled
throughout the American West, Canada, Mexico and Guatemala. She studied
both the art and craft of photography at Columbia College in Chicago, where
she earned a second Bachelor of Arts degree.
After 20 years and two rewarding careers in
education and business, Linda has devoted her efforts professionally to
photography since 1994. She has photographed extensively for the Chicago
Botanic Garden and for numerous professionals and periodicals in the home
and garden industry. Her images create subtleties of light, both natural
and artificial, that help to capture the essence of her subjects and the
spirit of any place.
Linda's commercial images have had the greatest
impact for her clients in their ability to win awards both regionally and
nationally. Her images also enable her clients to distinguish themselves
among their peers in their sales and advertising efforts. Her fine art images
include poetic landscapes, as well as sensitive closeups of flowers and
vegetables that have been photographed in gardens locally and around the

lecturing and teaching classes and workshops for the Chicago Botanic Garden
and other gardens and organizations. Her love of photography is matched
only by her patience and encouragement to her students.
